Girls Tryouts

Participating in Venom Volleyball Club Tryouts is an important step for athletes looking to compete, grow, and become part of the Venom family. Tryouts give our coaches the opportunity to evaluate each athlete’s skill level, athletic ability, volleyball IQ, effort, communication, and overall team fit.

Athletes can expect a combination of skill-based drills, competitive exercises, and game-like situations designed to showcase serving, passing, setting, attacking, defense, movement, and teamwork. Our coaching staff uses these evaluations to build balanced, competitive teams while identifying each athlete’s strengths and areas for continued development.

Venom Tryouts are about more than making a team. They are an opportunity for athletes to compete, challenge themselves, show their passion for volleyball, and demonstrate what they can bring to the court.

GET READY FOR VENOM TRYOUTS

Follow the steps below to make sure your athlete is fully registered and ready for Venom Volleyball Club Tryouts.

STEP 1 : VERIFY YOUR AGE GROUP

Not sure which age division your athlete should try out for? Use the Arizona Region Age Definitions to confirm the correct age group before registering.

STEP 2 — CREATE YOUR LEAGUEAPPS ACCOUNT

DOWNLOAD THE LEAGUEAPPS PLAY APP

Create your LeagueApps account and athlete profile to register for Venom Tryouts. The LeagueApps Play app will also help you stay up to date with important Venom schedules, announcements, and club communication.

STEP 3 — REGISTER YOUR AZ REGION MEMBERSHIP

REGISTER AZ REGION MEMBERSHIP

An active Arizona Region / USA Volleyball membership is required annually for athletes participating on Venom club teams.

Make sure all required membership steps are completed before tryouts.

STEP 4 — REGISTER YOUR AAU MEMBERSHIP

REGISTER AAU MEMBERSHIP

An active AAU membership is required annually for athletes participating in AAU-sanctioned events during the club season.

STEP 5 — COMPLETE YOUR MEDICAL RELEASE

To be eligible to participate in Venom Tryouts, athletes must have all required registrations completed and bring a completed USA Volleyball Medical Release Form to tryouts.

IMPORTANT: You must upload your athlete's birth certificate when completing your USAV registration. A photocopy of the birth certificate does not need to be brought to tryouts.

STEP 6 — COMPLETE SAFESPORT TRAINING

SAFESPORT TRAINING

Athletes who are required by USA Volleyball to complete SafeSport training must have the appropriate training completed before participating.
